meet the artist

Amy Henry Centola is a visual artist based in New Orleans. She is compelled to create by self expression, creative play and storytelling. Centola uses paint, paper, drawing tools and other mixed media in her works. Her paintings are portals into reflection, memory, and daydream- spaces where imagination and emotion unfold. Centola received her BFA from Louisiana State University and later studied at the New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts. Her work has been exhibited in multiple shows at the New Orleans Academy of Fine Art Gallery and appears in private collections across the country. Centola was the 2024 artist in residence at the Academy of Sacred Heart in New Orleans. She had a solo exhibition at Sacred Heart in April 2024 and Gallery Orange held her premier solo exhibition October 2025.
